I'm constantly looking for new and interesting dramas to watch and to recommend on my blog and was attracted to this new cable drama "Manny" which is currently showing in the primetime slot in Korea and the plot seems unique and interesting :) This will be in my "to watch drama list" and i'm also looking forward to another KBS drama starring Jang Nara which should start showing in Korea next week after "Crime Squad" ended. Its a pity the ratings for the final episode of "Crime Squad" was not really high as I love watching "Crime Squad" and can't help trying to guess who is the criminal while watching its episode which makes it really enjoyable and fun :) The cast also acted well and i love the budding romance between the 2 leads.
Back to "Manny", the drama is slated for 16 episodes and will be tvN’s attempt to compete on Wednesdays and Thursday nights. Manny premieres on April 13 on tvN. The drama stars Seo Ji-seok (Heart of Nineteen, Gloria & OB-GYN) as a proud New Yorker Kim Yi-han who’s employed as Seoul’s top manny –a man nanny — who works for and lives with a single mom with two kids. Romance and comedy ensue.
Playing the single mom character is actress Choi Jung-yoon (Smile, You and She Is Scary). Model-actress Byun Jung-soo plays a confident, assertive woman who puts her career ahead of the desire to marry. Her Janice character is the CEO of a modeling agency, who has a tendency to swear a lot. Janice has a romantic storyline with Seo Ji-seok’s character, which is sure to put her in conflict with Choi Jung-yoon. Both ladies will be dealing with a noona romance; Seo is younger than both by several years.
Tall, with a perfect figure and his qualifications as an Ivy League graduate, Kim Yi-han (Suh Ji Suk) is Seoul’s top male nanny. He is employed by Seo Do Young (Choi Jung Yoon) as a live-in nanny to look after her two young children, Eun Bi and Jung Min.
