I tried cooking Buboh Cha Cha recently as it is one of my favourite dessert other than yam paste and i have been wanting to try cooking it myself. I got the recipe from my mum and bought a packet of cut and peeled sweet potato and yam packet at NTUC supermarket which is real convenient as i'm too lazy to cut the sweet potato and taro on my own :> It also comes with pandan leaves so for those who likes convenient in their cooking, you can also try buying the pack ;>
200g sweet potato
5 pandan leaves
1 packet of coconut milk
150g fine sugar
Steam sweet potato and yam over high heat for 30 minutes till soft.
Place the coconut milk in a large pot and heat. Add the pandan leaves and simmer over a low heat. Add the cooked sweet potato and yam and simmer for another 10 minutes and add sugar. Stir to dissolve .
Serve hot or cold with crushed ice.
