I'm looking forward to this new 36 episodes Korean drama "The Kingdom of the Winds" that would start showing in Korea next month. This drama is a remake of a comic by Kim Jin and is a must watch drama for fans of the historical drama "Jumong" as it is about the life of Jumong's grandson, Moo Hyul, who later became Daemusin. I really enjoyed watching the whole series of "Jumong" as each episode was so interesting and the plot was superb although the whole series consist of 81 episodes.
I also found out online that actor Song Il Gook who had acted as Jumong would be acting as his grandson which is a superb news for fellow drama lovers as Song Il Gook really did a great job of portraying the character Jumong. Filming for this new drama begun in mid-June 2008 and one of the filming sites includes a 45 day shoot in China.
Actress Choi Jung Won has been cast as the heroine of this drama and this would be her first appearance in a historical drama. I had enjoyed watching her acting in "Famous Princesses" which was shown on Channel U awhile ago and would definitely be looking forward to seeing her acting opposite Song Il Gook :>
This new drama series will be about the life of King Moo Hyul of the Goryeo Dynasty, and Choi Jung Won will take on the role of a Buyeo Princess with whom the king falls in love. Choi' Jung Won's character, who weds the king, is a dignified young woman who is highly competent in the science of medicine. She is also described as a young woman who is forced to weather many storms in life and is an extremely strong person as a result of her past experiences. I would post more about the drama once more update informations are available online. Do look out for the drama....
