For fans of popular Korean drama "Brain" who loves watching medical dramas like i do, here is another interesting medical drama "Syndrome" which is also about doctors working in the Neurosurgery department but there is more focus on family in this drama. This JTBC drama started showing in Korea on February 13 and seemed unsteady in its ratings at first going up and down 0% and 1% but it showed
improvement with the quick story layout and the relationship between
characters. With it's steady number of viewers, the drama is increasing
in percentage along with the episodes.
One of the main lead, actor Park Geon-hyeong faces intense pressure in his role which seems quite similar to the role of Dr Lee Kang Hoon in recently ended drama "Brain" and I'm not sure any other actor can do better than seasoned actor Shin Ka Hyoon's portrayal of the cold, proud and talented Dr Lee which won the hearts of numerous female viewers.
I'm not really a fan of the main actors in this drama but would give it a try since I have finished watching "Take Care Of Us, Captain" which was a really entertaining show and its a pity the ratings were not good in Korea. I love its happy ending and the songs featured in the drama and have been listening to its soundtrack. I'm not interested in the other dramas currently showing in Korea and plans to watch "Syndrome" since i love medical dramas and hopefully this drama will be a good one ;) This drama will show surgical scenes on a large scale and revolve
around a tense conflict between doctors in the neurosurgery department. The main cast include Han Hye-jin, Park Geon-hyeong and Song Change-ee. You can watch it online at (http://www.mysoju.com/korean-drama/syndrome/) or (http://www.dramacrazy.net/korean-drama/syndrome/).
Han Hye-jin
will take on the role of a smart resident neurosurgeon Lee Hae-jo. She is from a
rural college and didn't graduated from a premiere medical school, but she is determined to become the best neurosurgeon. Han Hye-jin had to cut her hair for this role and has been spending lots of time
studying the script. She is taking on the role of a doctor for the first
time in a year and is about to become the queen of medical dramas. In the first episode, she could not submit her papers on time on the way up to Seoul as she had met
an emergency patient but she ended up being recruited in the department
of neurosurgery in the hospital's new cerebropathy center.
Song Chang-ee stars as fellow doctor Cha Yeo-wook and is also a first year neurosurgery resident but graduated from the best medical school. He is the grandson of the Hangook General Hospital chairman and
nothing is holding him back from becoming the best doctor.
Park Geon-hyeong stars as the chief of neurosurgery Kang Eun-hyeon who shows no interest in anything aside from his patients or surgery. A love triangle begins between these three people.
