MBC's historical drama "Dong Yi - Jewel in the Crown" continued its victory on the TV ratings chart, taking the No. 1 spot on Monday and Tuesday nights for the 15th consecutive week.

Figures from TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) on Wednesday indicated that "Dong Yi," which premiered in early June, brought in viewership ratings of 27.6 percent on July 19 and 29.4 percent last night.

Although ratings for the series dipped by an average of 0.9 percent compared to last week, it has maintained its position atop TV charts.

Numbers released by AGB Nielsen Media Research revealed that the drama scored ratings of 24.3 percent on Monday and 25.3 percent on Tuesday.

This week's episode focused on how Dong Yi (played by Han Hyo-joo), with the help of Seo Yong-gi (played by Jung Jin-yung), was able to escape the trap that had been set up by Jang Hee-bin (played by Lee So-yeon).

Meanwhile, SBS' drama "Giant," starring Lee Bum-soo, Park Jin-hee and Hwang Jung-eum, came in second place with steady ratings in the 16 to 18 percent range on both charts.
