This is a really funny and entertaining drama and i love its light hearted plot. Its really suitable for those who are looking for a drama where you can relax and have a good laugh after a hard day at work. It was shown last year on KBS World and i had recorded it on TV and only had time to watch it recently and i'm glad i did as it turns out to be a really fun drama! Actress Lee Soo-kyung plays a lowly, accident-prone officer Oh Ha Na who meets the elite agent Ko Jin Hyeok played by Kim Sang-kyung, and the two become entangled in a series of comic events. They clash instantly based on their different morals. Their initial
dislike of each other masks their romantic attraction, but this
development is hindered by the existence of Choi Eun Seo, Jin Hyeok’s
first love and Han Do Hoon who started to develop feelings for Ha Na when she went undercover to find evidence of the crimes he has committed. Ha Na and Jin Hyeok makes such a funny and refreshing pair in the drama and it was a pity the drama's ratings was not good as it was competing against mega productions like "Dong Yi" and "Giant" during its broadcast in Korea. You can watch it online at (http://www.dramastyle.com/drama/Call-of-the-Country/Episode-01-ENG-SUB/) or (http://www.mysoju.com/korean-drama/call-of-the-country/).
Ha Na is a lowly policewoman with little professional spirit and who believes that even if you might have to bend the rules a bit, nothing’s impossible as she tries to cope with supporting her mother who is always getting into trouble and funding their dream to move into an apartment. She treats her job purely as a source of income and lacks a sense of duty. Her character directly contrasts with Jin Hyeok who is an intelligence agent that believes rules are meant to be kept.
"Secret Agent Miss Oh", a miniseries whose script won the second-highest honor in a competition hosted by major public network KBS in 2009, may sound like a serious and solemn drama at first glance. But to quote actor Kim Sang-kyeong's words, it is a romantic comedy which is "so funny that it was necessary to act while putting pressure to my toes". Oh Ha Na, a police officer who is always causing trouble, exhibits a sense of duty on the occasion of getting dumped by her boyfriend, arresting a shameless man who tries to install a hidden camera in a women's bathroom. But that man turns out to be intelligence official Ko Jin Hyeok who was executing a secret operation and Ha Na becomes falsely charged with having interrupted the agency's investigation. Hence their first encounterance turns their relationship from coincidence to ill fate and when Jin Hyeok's past lover Choi Eun Seo (Horan) and undeserving tycoon Han Do Hoon (Ryoo Jin) also join in the picture, "Secret Agent Miss Oh" starts unraveling its unpredictable story.
In the romantic-comedy "Secret Agent Miss Oh," lead actor Kim Sang-Kyung plays NIS (National Intelligence Service) agent Ko Jin Hyeok. With Jin Hyeok's background in the special forces he is perfectionist at work, but in his personal life he is mired with flaws. Lead actress Lee Su-Kyeong plays the highly unpredictable female police officer Oh Ha Na. Ha Na has a bright and lovely image. Meanwhile, actor Ryu Jin plays Han Do-Hoon. Do-Hoon was born into wealth, but his father announced that he is donating his fortune away. Because of this and due to some plotting by ganster, Do-Hoon turned to crime to gain wealth ...
I also love the soundtrack of the drama and below are some of my favorite songs from the drama:
