Great news for Hong Kong drama lovers!!! Channel U is showing this exciting and interesting 2005 (30 episodes) drama series every Mondays to Fridays, 10pm, beginning today. I had rented the drama when it was first released in the video store and enjoyed watching the drama and would recommend this drama to fellow drama lovers even this drama was filmed several years ago. This drama is centered around the Government Flying Service (GFS) in Hong Kong, which is responsible for search and rescue (SAR), air ambulance, firefighting and assisting in police operations.
More about the drama:
Up and down crests and troughs,
In and out of waves and seas,
The Government Flying Service saves lives.
Matthew Ko Hor Fung (Ekin Cheng) is part of the Government Flying Service (GFS) second commander of air crew. He has a girlfriend Carrie Hong Yau Nam (Charmaine Sheh) whom has been in a coma for three years from a car accident. She finally awakes from her coma, and slowly recovers her memory with Matthew's help. However, Carrie realizes before the accident that she was about to break up with Matthew because he cared more towards his work than her.
Sandra Si Choi Kei (Linda Chung) is a newly recruited air crew whom is under the mentor of Matthew. They had their differences at first but Sandra eventually develops feeling for Matthew after he and Carrie broke up. Matthew's friend, Ben Yip Ching Wan (Bowie Lam), is the first commander pilot of the GFS and he becomes good friends with Carrie as she is a volunteer doctor with GFS and works with him on several occasions. Carrie and Ben soon also develop feelings for each other.
During a mission, Ben and his student Kelvin Chiang Ka Nok (Chris Lai) flew over an illegal gas station which suddenly exploded and takes the helicopter into the sea. All the crew man are saved except for Ben. The whole GFS tried very hard to find Ben. Ben was then saved but his son, Jackie, was scared and tramatised when he saw the injured Ben in the hospital. Renee (Ben's ex-wife), then, wants to take Jackie back because she lost her baby with Dominic and uses Ben's dangerous work as a reason for her action...
