I'm looking forward to the opening of the new mall in Tampines named "Tampines 1" and my relatives staying in Tampines are also excited by the new mall and looking forward to shopping there. What has gotten me so excited is the opening of Japanese label Uniqlo's first 8,700 sq ft store (http://www.uniqlo.sg/) in Singapore. I have read about this Japanese clothing giant which specializes in casual wears in last week's issue of "Urban" which comes with "The Straits Times" every Friday. "Uniqlo" is a casual wear brand known for fashionable basics for men, women and children. I'm a casual wear lover and i will definitely go to the new store to check out its clothings and hopefully get some great buys :> Below is what i copied from articles from "The New Paper" website for those who wishes to get more information about the new mall:
"TAMPINES 1 will open it doors on Thursday 9 April 2009 and the six-storey mall promises that about 80 per cent of the 172 shops will be ready for your scrutiny. The most talked-about shop in Tampines 1 could well be Japanese fashion house Uniqlo (#02-28 to 30), which is making its debut here. You'll find mix-and-match basics made of cotton. Uniqlo is offering an opening celebration offer from Thursday until 19 Apr. You can get UT T-shirts for $19.90 (usually $24.90) and denims at $49.90 (regular price $69.90). There will also be special buys priced between $4.90 and $6.90.
Making its debut is also Bossini Style (#01-04). This is a new concept for the basic wear label, focusing on women aged 20 to 35. You'll find clothes inspired by European trends for office and casual wear. You can look good in the office and can pop out for cocktails with clients without too much stress."
