The old adage "breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dine like a pauper" does have some scientific merit, according to a recent study, which suggests that people who consume more of their daily calorie intake early in the day tend to have fewer weight problems than their peers who eat later. The study of nearly 7000 men and women found that, calorie for calorie, those who ate a good breakfast tended to be slimmer.
