Another drama i have started following is this 16 episodes Korean MBC Wednesday and Thursdays romantic comedy drama "My Princess" starring one of my favorite Korean actress Kim Tae Hee and Song Seung Heon which started showing in Korea on 5 January 2011. Good reviews are continuously coming up about actress Kim Tae Hee and her return drama since "Iris". Viewers give her their highest compliments at the way she is carrying out the tomboy role so well in the drama she will lead along with actor Song Seung Heon. To Kim Tae Hee's acting skill that plays out the determined college girl – princess in one night role so well, viewers respond, "It suits her so well", "There was anxiety but she seems so natural it was surprising". "My Princess" will be Song’s first drama in two years, since he headlined the epic-tragic-melodrama "East Of Eden".
In the first episode, there is a scene where Kim runs into Song Seung Heon while working part time in an ancient palace dressed as a Chosun princess and she was such a natural in the scene.
I watched the first episode earlier and it was really entertaining. Kim Tae Hee is really cute and lively in the drama. However, the plot seems abit similar to "Princess Hours" and i'm curious how the drama will evolve and whether it will employ a fantasy twist and bring back the old monarchy which will be really interesting to watch. Episode 1 was interesting and i can't wait to watch future episodes online at (http://www.jacinda1st.com/2011/01/my-princess-english-subtitles.html).
In "My Princess" Kim Tae Hee stars as an ordinary college student, Lee Seol, who suddenly finds out that she's a princess. She supposedly has within her the last secret of the imperial family. There’s a “special bond” between Emperor Sunjong and chaebol businessman Park Dong-jae (played by Lee Soon-jae) who is the grandfather to Song Seung Heon's diplomat character. Grandpa CEO Park uses some of his clout to reinstate the monarchy and goes out of his way to locate the lost granddaughter. The grandson of Daehan Group, Park Hae Young (Song Seung Heon), is put in charge of educating Seol the lost princess on proper etiquette.
This drama also marks Ryoo Soo Yeong’s comeback; he’d only recently returned from military service, and this is his first project since Lawyers of Korea back in 2008. Ryoo Soo Yeong stars as Nam Jeong-woo who is Seol's university archaeology professor and Seol has a huge crush on him. Park Ye Jin stars as Oh Yoon Joo and she recently chopped off her hair for this drama. Park’s character is the daughter to executive secretary of Daehan Group, a large corporation, and works as the director of a museum. Described as a highly ambitious femme fatale, she chucks her first love Jeong-woo who she had dated in college and uses Hae Young, while acting the formidable rival for heroine Seol. Things get complicated, of course, when Yoon Joo's last relationship comes to bear on the new one.
