Do This for 5 Minutes, Get 5 Years Younger
Here's a pleasant little pastime that takes about 5 minutes to do each day but could make you up to 5 years younger if you're faithful to it: drinking tea.
In a Chinese study, the cells of enthusiastic tea drinkers showed about 5 fewer years' worth of wear and tear compared with the cells of people who drank little tea.
Age Marker
The enthusiastic tea drinkers averaged 3 or more cups of green or oolong tea daily, while the group that showed more signs of cell aging averaged less than a cup. The researchers looked specifically at the study participants' telomeres to see how much their cells had aged. Telomeres are the protective end caps on your DNA strands. They get a smidge shorter every time cells divide, so the shorter these caps are, the older your cells are, too. And in the study, the most avid tea drinkers had significantly longer telomeres than the people who drank less than a cup a day. (Know what else you can eat and drink to fight aging? Here are some of the best antiaging foods for your body and mind.)

Turn Back the Clock
Researchers think it's the antioxidants in tea that help keep telomeres long. It's a beneficial chain reaction of sorts. Antioxidants fight diseases like cancer, diabetes, and heart disease -- conditions that tend to damage cells. And when damaged, cells divide in order to repair injuries and the telomeres -- a finite resource -- shrink. Interestingly, the tea study showed telomere benefits only in men, possibly because cell-protecting hormones unique to women left less room for improvement. But there are plenty of other reasons for both men and women to drink tea. So bottoms up! Check out this page for a whole host of ways to enjoy the health benefits of tea.

I Love The Ramen @ Ippudo Mandarin Gallery :>
Ippudo has just become my most favourite place for ramen after i tried it earlier with my family at its Mandarin Gallery branch #04- 02/03/04 :> We ordered the Shiromaru Classic ramen with egg and the Akamaru Modern ramen so that we can try out the different soup base. Both are delicious but i preferred the Shiromaru Classic ramen for its delicious and light soup base. I also love the crunchy thin ramen at Ippudo! I will definitely be back soon for more of its yummy ramen and to try out its other side dishes.
Shiromaru Classic ramen with egg [Original recipe tonkotsu soup served with thin noodles, Rosu chashu (Pork Loin), cabbage, kikurage & scallions]
Akamaru Modern ramen [Original recipe enhanced with Ippudo’s special blended miso paste. Served with thin noodles, Buta Bara (Pork Belly), kikurage, scallions and fragrant garlic oil]

My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho OST - Sha La La By Shin Mina
A lovely song from the drama "My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho" sung by Shin Mina.
I have just finished watching episodes 6 and 7 of the drama and am impressed with her acting. She really did a great job of portraying the lovely, naive and cute Miho. "You're Beautiful" alumnae UEE and Park Shin Hye also made special appearances in episode 6 and 7 of the drama and i'm hoping that Jang Geun Suk will also make an appearance. Miss seeing him in a drama since "You're Beautiful" and it will be nice to have him in the show too for just an episode :>
Back to the drama, i love the scene where Dae-wung bought a cute gift for Miho. It was so touching and sweet when he bought a huge chicken leg soft toy for Mi Ho haha she was so happy when she saw it and jumping for joy!! The acting between Dae-wung's aunt and the director who is always talking about "real action, my dream" was so funny and exaggerating that i could not help laughing non-stop whenever those two meet. It is really a joy watching the drama and i can't wait to see how the drama will develop and if Dae-wung will really die in order for Miho to become a human or there will be an unexpected twist in the end.

Korean Drama "Dong Yi" Reclaims Lead On Monday And Tuesday Nights
MBC's historical series "Dong Yi - Jewel in the Crown" has regained a slight lead in the competition of Monday and Tuesday night dramas, becoming the most-watched show in the country for the 20th straight week.
Figures from TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) on Wednesday indicated that "Dong Yi," into its 46th episode, saw its viewership ratings increase by an average 1.7 percent compared to the previous week, with ratings of 24.7 percent on August 23 and 26.8 percent the following night.
Data released AGB Nielsen Media Research pointed out that the drama, starring Han Hyo-joo and Ji Jin-hee, scored ratings of 24.3 percent on Monday night and a 0.8 percentage point increase on Tuesday.
This week's episode focused on how King Sukjong (Ji Jin-hee) shows his love for Dong Yi (Han Hyo-joo) and fatherly affection for his son, Youngjo (child actor Lee Hyung-suk).
Meanwhile, SBS' series "Giant," about three siblings who were separated after losing their parents and later come together to seek revenge for them, trailed behind "Dong Yi" as the No. 2 show in the country.
On TNmS charts, "Giant" raked in ratings of 24.7 percent on August 23 while the figure dropped by 3.1 percent the next day. Ratings for the show decreased on AGB's survey as well, recording figures of 22.4 percent on Monday and 21 percent on Tuesday night.
This is really great news for "Dong Yi" fans and i can't wait to watch episodes 45 & 46 soon!

I Love The Singapore 2010 YOG :>
I have been watching the YOG games on TV and online at (http://www.youtholympicgames.org/) since it started last week and can't believe it is ending tomorrow. I have enjoyed watching the exciting badminton matches which has revived my interest in the sport. I have also enjoyed rooting for the Singapore boys during their football matches and will definitely be rooting for them to win the bronze medal at tonight's match at 6pm with Montenegro. It was a pity they could not go on to the finals and challenge Bolivia for gold.
I'm also rooting for the Singapore team to win a medal for the mixed team table tennis games which is ongoing today. The finals will be played tomorrow. Another game i'm looking forward to watching is the girls volleyball bronze medal matches between Japan and Peru later at 3.30pm. Watched the exciting semi-final match between the Japanese and Americans yesterday and was impressed with the Japanese for trying their best in the match and not losing without a good fight even though the Americans appear to be the stronger team and had already won 2 sets. Hopefully the Japanese girls will go home with at least a medal. Will also be catching the finals tomorrow at 9am between USA and Belgium and the closing ceremony.
