I Love L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Lip Gloss and Eau de Toilette

I bought L'Occitane cherry blossom lip gloss and perfume during my recent shopping trip at Orchard Ion and loves the perfume for its light and sweet smell. I love the lip gloss after using it once yesterday as it makes my lips appeared fuller, shiny and moisturized after applying just a little amount. The lip gloss is retailing at S$26/- and the perfume at S$56/- at all L'Occitane stores if i remembered correctly :> I'm definitely going to buy another tube once i finished using it ;>

Cooling Brew

After the festive visiting and feasting, try a detox using chrysanthemum tea. It's easy to brew and reduces heatiness in the body.

Ingredients:
4 tbsp dried chrysanthemum flowers
boiling water
1 tbsp wolfberries
Rock sugar, to taste (optional)

Step 1 Add the chrysanthemum flowers to a pot of boiling water and boil for 15 minutes.

Step 2
Remove the chrysanthemum with a sieve and add the wolfberries and rock sugar and boil for another 2 minutes. Serve warm or chilled.

Cheap, Quick Way to Destress

Next time someone you know acts a little stressed out, give 'em a hug.

Like a Snuggie for your insides, hugs are linked to warm, fuzzy feelings. Even better, those good feelings translate into lower heart rate and blood pressure. Studies show a hug from a loving partner dampens stress in people both before and after a difficult time.

Hug It Out
In a world where so many things send stress levels soaring, you can never get too many hugs. In a study of premenopausal women, those who received the most hugs and massages from their significant others had the highest levels of oxytocin -- a hormone and brain chemical linked to happy feelings and security in relationships. And even better, oxytocin is related to lower heart rate and blood pressure. (Is your blood pressure hurting your health? Get a quick check by answering these questions.)

Oxy-cise Every Day
Another good thing about oxytocin: It helps keep your blood pressure in check when you're stressing about an upcoming event or trying to recover from a nerve-wracking experience. Seems oxytocin somehow puts the brakes on the branch of the nervous system that ramps up heart rate and blood pressure. Or it may be that oxytocin works directly on the heart and blood vessels to keep them calm when tensions rise. Bust stress further with these relax-already strategies:

My Favourite Pineapple Tarts

Lunch At Tonkatsu Ginza Bairin Orchard Ion

I took half day leave and went shopping at Orchard with my mum yesterday and also to look for Chinese New Year goodies at Takashimaya and to buy Lee Chee Guan Bak Kwa at Ion. We had lunch at Orchard Ion and it was a really relaxing experience as there was not much shoppers on a Monday afternoon which was great as i hate long queues and crowded places. which really spoils the shopping experience. We tried the special pork fillet don set at Ginza Bairin.

Surprising Health Secret of Walking

Any committed walker will tell you: Putting one foot in front of the other isn't about weight loss (or at least it's not only about that). It's about living the good life.

One of the best benefits of exercise turns out to be the huge leap in quality of life it produces. From carrying groceries up stairs with ease to feeling energized enough to keep up with social obligations, exercise makes life better. Even if you never shed a pound from it!

Feel-Good Workout
A lot of people start a walking program with the aim of a svelte silhouette. And that's fine -- great, even! But there's a lot more to exercise than just changing your body. Research shows that the more people work out, the more their quality of life improves. Physical health, mental health, vitality, productivity, social energy -- it all gets better in proportion to how much people move. (Got the right walking shoe? Watch this video to learn how to pick a winner.)

What's Your Goal?
Try to get at least 30 minutes of moderately vigorous physical activity on most days of the week. Even this baseline amount will improve your quality of life -- although more exercise will do more for you. Have trouble squeezing exercise into your schedule? Any ol' amount helps. In a study of postmenopausal women, even those who exercised barely more than an hour a week saw improvements in some quality of life measures. So wake up your muscles with these moves:
